Scott Dulchavsky, M.D., Ph.D., is CEO of the Henry Ford Innovation Institute and a principal investigator for NASA.
Before joining Henry Ford Health, Dulchavsky was a professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has also served as an attending surgeon at the Detroit Medical Center and held the positions of director of Surgical Intensive Care and chief of surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital.
Dulchavsky has been elected to numerous professional organizations and national positions including the Society of University Surgeons, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Central Surgical Society, the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the Society of Clinical Surgery, and the American Surgical Associations. He maintains an active role in local and national medical associations including the American College of Surgeons where he serves on the Committee of Trauma and as the vice chair for Technology and Research.
Dulchavsky received his bachelor’s in physiology from Michigan State University and a Ph.D. in molecular biology and genetics at Wayne State University. He attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, where he completed his internship and surgical residency.
