Expanding Focus Areas for Henry Ford + MSU Research
Together, our 200+ cancer researchers at Henry Ford + MSU have built a joint, scholarly community and invested in research and clinical programs to combat cancer. While cancer will remain a primary priority for the partnership, we are excited to announce we are launching our next three areas of joint research strength for further investment: neuroscience, women's health, and cardiometabolic health.
We aim to grow areas of collective research strength between Henry Ford and MSU to position us as global scientific leaders. These expanded collaborative efforts will intertwine with cross-cutting themes of impact in precision health, rural and urban health disparities, and population/public health.
Our Henry Ford + MSU Neuroscience Research team is forming now. Women's Health will kick off this summer and Cardiovascular and Hypertension Health, this fall.
Neuroscience Research
With collective research and clinical strengths in stroke, brain injury, sleep disorders, neurodegenerative disease, and more, neuroscience will be the next area of strategic focus for the partnership. The Neuroscience Planning Committee, composed of collaborative leaders from both institutions, will inform and guide our work together in neuroscience.
