Debalina Bandyopadhyay, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and director of operations for the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Detroit Medical Center (MSUCOM–DMC) campus.
In this role, Bandyopadhyay provides administrative and operational leadership for the Detroit campus. She is also a long-standing faculty member at MSUCOM, where she contributes to the development and delivery of curricular content in biochemistry and molecular biology as well as health equity as part of the college’s medical education program.
Prior to joining MSUCOM, Bandyopadhyay served as a faculty member at the University of Michigan–Dearborn. She earned her Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (India) and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Miami School of Medicine (Miami, Florida) and the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences (Claremont, California).
Bandyopadhyay’s longstanding commitment to inclusive excellence, medical education, and community impact informs her work and will guide her contributions as vice chair of the Henry Ford + MSU Inclusive Excellence Committee.
