A beacon of hope in Detroit, driving groundbreaking research for the world, our Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences Research Center is set to open in 2027. The center will bring scientists and clinicians together to tackle the health challenges that most impact our communities, urban and rural.

  • Home to the Nick Gilbert Neurofibromatosis Research Institute, the first brick-and-mortar institute solely dedicated to neurofibromatosis, and one of the first to leverage organoid technology and other novel models to address a single disease.
  • A foundation of the Future of Health: Detroit, a $3 billion development that is anchored by a major Henry Ford Hospital expansion, as well as housing and retail by the Detroit Pistons.
