Linda S. Weglicki, Ph.D., RN, was appointed interim dean of the MSU College of Nursing in January 2026. She previously served as dean of the College of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), the only comprehensive academic health science center in South Carolina. She has approximately 50 years of professional experience in clinical practice, education, and research, with extensive leadership experience in a variety of administrative roles. Weglicki has also held leadership roles and positions on a number of professional nursing organizations, such as the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI), the Council for Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS), Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS), South Carolina Dean and Directors, and as an Ambassador of the Friends of the National Institute of Nursing Research (FNINR). She earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and both an M.S.N. and B.S.N. from Wayne State University.
