In this session, participants will explore best practices for conducting meaningful, organized, and rigorous literature reviews in support of evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research. Designed for nurses at any stage of inquiry, this session offers tools and strategies to help you move beyond a basic search and toward synthesis, critique, and application.

This monthly Henry Ford + MSU partnership webinar series offers a step-by-step exploration of the nursing scholarship journey, guiding participants from idea generation to project dissemination. It features practical, scenario-based learning that applies to both clinical and academic settings. Attendees will gain tangible strategies and resources to engage in research, evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and program evaluation. Through collaborative discussions, peer examples, and mentorship, the series supports nurses across all roles and experience levels. The overall focus is on achieving real-world impact by translating knowledge into effective practice.
Nurses, advanced practice nurses, and healthcare professionals who are curious about or actively engaged in research, evidence-based care, innovation, quality improvement, or program design/evaluation. Whether you're new to scholarship or refining your expertise, this series offers a space for shared learning and growth.
Each webinar session is approved for one (1) nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) credit. Henry Ford Health is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
