What to Expect

Participants will learn how to develop focused, answerable questions, understand the differences between keyword searching and subject headings, and explore the range of databases available through Sladen Library. The session will also include a live demonstration of PubMed, highlighting both basic and advanced search strategies, including field tags, truncation, Boolean operators, and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). Participants will leave with practical tools and increased confidence in locating and utilizing high-quality evidence to support clinical practice.

Participants may earn 1 contact hour by attending the entire session and completing the evaluation tool.
