During the Henry Ford + MSU Cardiometabolic Health Research Symposium, attendees can look forward to:

  • Networking Opportunities: Connect throughout the day in a relaxed setting designed to foster collaboration.

The final agenda will be shared closer to the symposium date. Please note that this Henry Ford + MSU symposium will not offer continuing education credits.

POSTER GUIDELINES & SUBMISSIONS

All are welcome to submit a poster, either broadly overviewing their research, clinical, education program, and/or, on specific projects. This includes researchers, clinicians, trainees, health care professionals, and others with an interest in cardiometabolic health research from Michigan State University and Henry Ford Health.

  • Submission Deadline: August 14, 2026
  • Selection Process: Space is limited and posters will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Important: To be considered, poster presenters must be registered to attend the Henry Ford + MSU Cardiometabolic Health Research Symposium.
  • Notification: A confirmation email will be sent out shortly after the submission deadline for posters that are selected.

MORE ABOUT THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Wu-Cardio-Keynote-Speaker


Joseph Wu, M.D., Ph.D., is the director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute and the Simon H. Stertzer, MD, professor of medicine and radiology at Stanford University. His clinical interests include adult congenital heart disease and cardiovascular imaging. His lab works on stem cells, organoids, genomics, AI, and drug discovery. Wu has published more than 700 manuscripts with an H-index of 152 on Google scholar and recognition as top 0.1% of highly cited researchers in Web of Science for past the 8 years (2018-2025). Among his trainees, 60 of them are principal investigators in the US or abroad. Wu received his medical degree from Yale University and completed his medicine internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship (STAR program) at UCLA. He also obtained his doctorate in the Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology with the late Sanjiv Sam Gambhir, M.D., Ph.D.
