What to Expect

Thursday, November 6, 2025

  • MSU Shared Resources Tour: Explore MSU’s cutting-edge research infrastructure on a guided tour! Symposium participants will be able to visit at least two of the following MSU facilities: Mass Spectrometry and Metabolomics Core, Proteomics Facility, Cryo-EM, Drug Discovery Core Facility, Center for Imaging and Image-Guided Therapies (CIIGT), and the Transgenic and Genome Editing Facility and Stem Cell Core. Space is limited for this 90-minute tour, and participants must sign up through the symposium registration form to reserve a spot.
  • Scientific Presentations: Presentations will focus on "The Future of Cancer Research" and will feature expert speakers from Henry Ford and MSU who will share insights on emerging trends, novel technologies, and collaborative strategies shaping the next generation of cancer care.
  • Special Remarks: The symposium will feature opening remarks from Henry Ford + MSU leadership, including Adnan Munkarah, M.D., Steve Kalkanis, M.D., and Norm Hubbard. It also includes an interactive panel discussion with the cancer research leadership triad: Jeff MacKeigan, Ph.D., Ben Movsas, M.D., and Derek Raghavan, M.D., Ph.D.

Continuing Education Credits

The 5th Annual Henry Ford + MSU Cancer Research Symposium will offer continuing education credits for event participants. Henry Ford Health designates this live course for a maximum of 7.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should only claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint provider ship of Henry Ford Health and Michigan State University Health Sciences. Henry Ford Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.


Poster Guidelines & Submission

To be considered for the poster session, all abstracts must be submitted through the symposium registration process by October 3, 2025. Before submitting an abstract, please review the submission guidelines. The symposium poster session committee will review all abstracts and notify poster winners, no later than Friday, October 24, 2025.
