ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Ralph Francescone, Ph.D., and Débora Vendramini Costa, Ph.D., co-lead the Vendramini-Francescone Lab at Henry Ford Health and hold research faculty appointments at Michigan State University. Their work seeks to understand how the tumor microenvironment shapes pancreatic cancer development, immune suppression, and response to treatment. By integrating innovative laboratory models with patient-derived samples, they are uncovering new opportunities for early detection and therapeutic intervention. Together, they lead nationally funded research programs focused on improving outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer.
